![]() ![]() Those who have played Crystal Saga and League of Angels will notice some similarities. Monkey King Online uses the same engine as many other browser-based titles. The graphics, albeit nice for a browser game, aren't unique. Overall, the game’s visuals give a classic RPG feel similar to Diablo II, RAN, and Conquer Online. They are done in 2D and one character looks exactly like any other character. However, the in-game characters could be better. Whether you’re turning in quests in a palace in the clouds or battling fiery serpents in lava-filled mountains, the landscape never ceases to impress, especially for a browser-based game. The next thing I notice is how wonderfully done the game environments are. Unfortunately, there is no option to hide these items and the screen just gets more and more cluttered as the game progresses. There are a ton of buttons and menus, like the Mini Map, Quest Logs, Power Ups, Summons, Rewards, a Chatbox, and even ads scattered all over the screen vying for attention. Upon entering the game world, the first thing that caught my attention was how cluttered the interface is. ![]()
